JoJo Offerman shares her thoughts & feelings on the Wyatt Sicks (2024)

The rollout of the Wyatt Sicks has gone as well as anyone could have expected.

The act, which is in large part a tribute to the late Windham “Bray Wyatt” Rotunda, is led by Bray’s brother Bo Dallas (real name Taylor Rotunda) as Uncle Howdy, and includes former Wyatt Family member Erick Rowan. It uses designs and concepts created or co-created by Bray and other elements of his WWE presentation over the years, and their initial storyline has been generally well received — and seems to have been cathartic for both his loved ones and fans mourning Windham/Bray after his left us much-too-soon last summer.

One person we hadn’t heard from is Windham’s fiancee and the mother of his two youngest children, JoJo Offerman. The former WWE announcer & interviewer was asked for her thoughts about the Wyatt Sicks during a recent virtual signing for Southern Wrestling Autographs, and shared that she supports the act even though she can’t always bring herself to watch their work, and she knows Bray would have

“Yes, of course [I like what WWE is doing with Wyatt Sicks]. So it’s like a very bittersweet thing for me. So, I love it for multiple reasons.

“I love it for the fact that his [Windham Rotunda’s] legacy is still strong and he’s out there. His spirit is out there through his brother and I love it for Taylor [Rotunda], or Bo [Dallas] because — Windham wanted anything in the world, it’d be for his family to succeed, for his brother to succeed so, I’m very happy that Bo has that opportunity to kind of carry on his legacy but it’s really hard a lot of the times because it’s like a trigger for me… and I’ve had to put my phone down and completely not watch it at points and that goes back to even Samantha [Irvin] or Liv [Morgan], I’d be like, ‘Hey, can you warn me if it’s something today, because I’ll stay off of social media’ because I remember his — the debut, I didn’t even know it was happening and his music hit and I straight-up could not stop crying all night. It was full-on panic attacks for me.

“So, I’ve had to kind of make it work in the best way that I can because I do support it and I’ve talked to a lot of them in the group and they’ve all said the same thing with that they just want to make it the best thing that they possibly could… So, I respect that. I love that they’re doing that and I love that, like I said, his legacy’s living on and his kids could see that.

“But, the part that’s the worst for me is personal and it’s me and I spent endless nights with him working on the song or working on the character and days and weeks and months and so much time, of my time went into it. I just helped with a lot of — he would turn to me when it came to creativity. If he had to choose between three things, he’s like, ‘What do you think would feel better?’ Like, ‘Oh, this is how I feel like this should go. What do you think?’ And it was just kind of my opinion… It was just like, ‘Hey babe, what do you think of this?’ So, especially when it came to the music though. It was like one of those things. Like, the second he heard it, he was like, ‘I need your feedback’ because he knew how in love with music I was and so, Jami from Code Orange reached out to me and he was very adamant on me being okay with the music being used again, and I said, ‘As long as you’re okay it, I’m okay with it’ so, it’s been a process.”

She also said that Windham’s children are taking a similar approach, while still being kids:

“They have [seen The Wyatt Sicks]. They have. They have but they haven’t.

“I’ve allowed them the opportunity to watch it but sometimes they won’t. If they hear his music, they’ll be like, ‘Daddy’s music’ and I’m like, ‘Yeah, your uncle Tay Tay uses it now’ and so just little things like that. But, they know. They know Uncle Taylor’s in it. They know it. They ask.

“We went to a show recently and they were like, ‘Is Uncle Taylor here?’ And I was like, ‘No. Not today.’ But, then quickly, they went on to all their other uncles and aunties after Taylor [laughs]. So, you know, it worked out. So, yeah, they know. They’ve seen it. Little pieces.”

Later on in the session, Offerman talked about wanting to get back into wrestling, and this time to “explore more of the character aspect of it more than announcing only.“ That led to a question about being a manager, and in her answer JoJo addressed the possibility of working with the Sicks:

“Oh, 100 percent [I’d return to wrestling as a manager]. I would love that. I would. I have great acting skills [laughs]. I am so good. I’m just kidding. But I really would. I really would... There’s no one in particular that I can think of right now.

“I would love to say Wyatt Sicks but then at the same time, I feel like that’d be a lot and they have so much going on that I wouldn’t want to disturb that. But, I don’t know. I feel like — start a new faction. Why not? Don’t ask me who I want in it. That’ll take me some time.”

You can check out JoJo Offerman’s entire signing, where she also spoke about the support she received from Triple H & Stephanie McMahon after Bray’s death, and her belief her late husband should be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame next year, here.
